Part# 42575-42 Spring, axle support recoil was only used on the 1942 Harley-Davidson XA. One interesting fact…this military model was the first and only model to ever have rear suspension until the 1958 Panhead with “dual glide” suspension was manufactured. The factory NOS standard length from the Motor Company was 4.695”. Please note, factory machining has been done on the inside of both ends.
